Bybit–one of the top cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, kicking off its India Blockchain Tour with a rousing first stop in Hyderabad on June 28. We convened over 1,000 of the brightest minds from the Web3 community. This exemplifies a booming enthusiasm for blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies all over India. Gupta stressed the urgency for continued, formalized, in-depth education to help advance India’s expanding cohort of crypto users. He highlighted Bybit's dedication to bridging the knowledge gap and empowering users with the tools to navigate the crypto landscape confidently.
Interactive Sessions and Community Engagement
The Hyderabad event included a variety of interactive, hands-on sessions intended to inspire and teach participants new skills. Participants took part in Crypto Trivia, quizzing their knowledge of blockchain tech and crypto assets. These uniquely community engagement activities allowed for a targeted experience of networking and knowledge sharing between attendees, cultivating a collaborative environment.
Bybit's presence at the event underscored its mission to drive responsible crypto adoption through grassroots engagement, ensuring that participants gain valuable insights and practical knowledge.
Future Initiatives and Expansion
Still buzzing from this hackathon, Gupta shared Bybit’s thrilling vision for future hackathons. To supplement it, they would do workshops through collaboration with some esteemed institutes including IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur etc. Each of these initiatives greatly deepen the developer and talent pool driving innovation in blockchain development. They help solidify India’s position as a leader in the burgeoning global crypto ecosystem.
Gupta further pointed out that India’s crypto development has not been limited to its large cities. Tier-2 cities such as Surat and Indore are experiencing strong user interest, ranging from mainstream coins and DeFi to meme tokens. The next stop on the India Blockchain Tour is Ahmedabad on July 26. With this partnership, Bybit hopes to further its mission of creating a more robust and educated Web3 community within India.
